Nursery & Children’s Ministry

During worship hours, childcare is provided for children (infants through kindergarten). The nursery is located on the south side of the education wing at the end of the west hallway. Additionally, a Children’s service is provided concurrently with Sunday Service immediately following the Children’s Moment. Throughout the year, parents will bring young children for dedication. The dedication is a part of the worship service. It is a time for parents to give thanks for the birth of their child and for the congregation to commit itself to providing nurture, love, and support for the child and their parents.

Christian Learning

We have two sections of Christian Learning (Sunday School) classes are offered for Preschool and kindergarten aged children ages 1-3 and 3-5. These follow the Heartshapers curriculum. They meet at 9:00 AM before service at 10:00 AM. Just ask for directions and members will be glad to help you find your Christian Learning class. Our youth and children's Sunday School program runs from the Sunday following Labor Day until the Sunday preceding Memorial Day. Appropriate ages are combined during summer.

The Lord’s Supper

Our congregation celebrates the Lord's Supper every Sunday. We practice open communion, which means it is not necessary to belong to this congregation to take communion. Both the bread and the cup will be passed to you in the pew. Please take each as it is passed to you and return the cup to the tray. The first Sunday of the month homebound communion is taken to persons unable to attend services. Church services are provided at Macon Health Care Center that same Sunday at 1:30 PM.
